Changes at the official EFT website

If you know very much about EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques, you know that the creative engineer behind EFT is Gary Craig. Gary announced in December to the emotional response of his followers that due to unexpected health concerns, he was going to retire. For months, we've all been waiting what would still be available for us who know and love the technique so much. We've missed the weekly newsletters. But June 1 has come and gone and much of the EFT site remains the same.

It has been turned over to another very capable person. The long awaited PTSD DVD will be out soon announcing to the world what EFT is really capable of. There are some differences. So far, no weekly newsletter but I am sure that will be forthcoming. Trainings have changed but are still available. Hooray! No DVD's but I have them all. Copies can be made and shared. There are books now available through the site. And Gary's name has been removed from everything except the page showing him as the EFT founder.

I hope we'll see more of Gary in the future. Until then, you can see the new website below. It looks almost the same.

The Science of what???

Getting rich?

Maybe I've mentioned this book before. I love it. The first time I read it, it went way, way over my head. The second time, I wondered where that book had been all my life. Rich can be defined in many ways, and although the stated purpose of the book is to show a scientific way of getting rich, it also shows how to experience a very rich life, no matter where you are. So, here's a pal of mine from the SOGR network. He did this presentation for the first chapter of the book. I really like it. Great work Croz!

EFT success #1

My first success with EFT came with an inguinal hernia. One of my teenage sons was involved with football. He came home one day complaining of pain. A type which I knew nothing about what to do. So, I hauled him to a rare appointment with our family doctor. The doctor declared he had a hernia. Wait a week. Come back. We did. He said he'd need surgery eventually. But he could still play football.

I gave him the choice. Surgery now or later? He took football.

A week or so later he was complaining about the pain he was suffering. I had been studying EFT by a DVD program for a few weeks. Hey! How about I try this funny thing on you? OK.

His pain level was an 8 out of 10. In four "rounds" of EFT. Roughly five minutes. The pain was gone. He asked incredulously, "how'd you do that!?" I wasn't sure what I had done.

But over the ensuing days as I kept asking for pain reports, it was clear, the pain really was gone. And then he insisted I stop asking! The nerve. It was almost two weeks later that I had my V-8 moment. Hew, what about the hernia?

Hauled him back to the Dr. Examination reveals..............no hernia! Well, wow! No surgery. A year later, he had a brief few moments of pain. We tapped. It's never come back.

Cost of two doctor's visits............$150.
Surgery savings.............$14,000+
Cost of EFT DVD's..............$49
Pain free happy expression on my son's face..............priceless!

What is EFT like?

I want to start by explaining why my website is called www.dailyabundance.net. A lot of people use EFT but why use that term for an EFT website? It did not take long for me to realize after I learned EFT in 2005, to realize that it was erasing all the negative in my life. Negative symptoms, negative beliefs, negative thoughts, negative anything I could think of. And then, I was like a blank slate to put the positive in. Now the slate will not remain blank, just like garden earth will not remain weed free.

If you do not plant seeds or write new thoughts, the void will be filled in by whatever environment you walk through. So, I found that EFT helps you to become the person you were meant to be. Erase the negative with EFT. Replace by learning positive new ways of being.

A lot of EFT practitioners compare EFT to acupuncture and it really is a good comparison; if you know anything about acupuncture. You probably know that acupuncture involves needles stuck in the skin. You might know that it is an alternative treatment commonly used to treat a variety of symptoms and conditions. There is a small chance you know it has something to do with Chinese medicine and some kind of meridian thingies. But, I would venture to guess that if you asked 100 people to give an in depth description of acupuncture, 90% would not know much more than it has something to do with needles. I've never had an acupuncture treatment and I am all about alternative and complementary health.

One of the things Gary Craig, the originator of EFT, encourages practitioners to do, is to build a bridge (of understanding) with their clients. You do this by comparing EFT to something a client is familiar with, and when they say, "oh you mean EFT is like....," then you have a connection and a common ground of understanding.

So how does it work?

In any house with electricity, there are electrical pathways for that electricity to flow. And when the electricity flows as it was designed to do, you flip a switch, turn something on, or plug something in, and it works! You don't have to think about it or believe in it for that to happen. God bless Benjamin Franklin! Now, what happens if in a certain part or room of the house, you increase the demand for electricity---beyond what that part or room can handle? For example. In our family room, we have two computers, two printers, a tv, surround sound, DISH receiver, a lamp, an overhead fan and occasional other small appliances.

In the winter, we sometimes have a room heater, and in the summer, we always have a room a/c unit because we live in Arizona. That is all the room can handle. No more! But we forget that when it is time to vacuum. And so, we plug the vacuum in, and off we go until the whole room shuts off within just a few seconds. Oops. We forgot to turn off the a/c or fan and we overloaded the system, and the breaker in the electrical circuit box, flips off. My guess is, if the breaker did not flip, a fire might start.

Well, that's a problem if you want to use electricity in the family room. You cannot use it anymore. You can still use the kitchen, the bedroom, or any other part of the house, but no electrical service in the family room. Fortunately, there is an easy solution. We step outside the door to the circuit box, open it up, and flip the switch, and magically everything turns back on, and we can continue to vacuum. Hooray!

Our bodies are just like that. We have a flow of energy that runs along pathways (called Meridians--known about for 5000 years by the Chinese). And when that energy flows without interruption, we experience wellness and positive emotions. Like a house, we have different compartments (rooms) in us, with the potential for energy disruption. (We don't really have separated areas, just for the purpose of this explanation) So, we have a childhood compartment, and a job compartment; a family compartment, friends, religion, school, self-esteem, and so on. Whenever we have a demand in one of those areas, it's like an electrical drain in the house. We can handle, one or two or three or five, but at some point we reach maximum capacity and the breaker flips for the protection of the rest.

This is a good thing! We now have an emotional or physical symptom that is asking us to pay attention. Take a break. Rest. Focus on happiness. Take care of our selves. We might get a tension or migraine headache. Maybe we become very fearful of something. Maybe we become unable to see our own strengths. Maybe we begin avoiding something because it is emotionally painful to face. And on and on.

In a house this can happen gradually as I explained above, or suddenly. What happens in a bathroom or kitchen if an electrical appliance falls in the water? New technology breaks the flow of electricity in that outlet to immediately shut it off so someone does not get electrocuted. I had a home inspector recently tell me that the outlet is often wired in with other nearby outlets and all of them will shut off if one is overloaded. Interesting.

In our bodies, it also works this way. Little stresses can build up gradually until one more thing just shuts something down within us. Or a great big something...death of a family member, accident, divorce, diagnosis, or other trauma causes an immediate shutdown and strong emotional responses. And it can also shut down related outlets. So you may have a variety of symptoms or emotions to deal with. Most people handle it by just getting by until time passes and it fades into the background. This creates new problems down the road, because even though time will decrease the intensity (if you are lucky), there is still a disruption and each new demand on the system will connect in with that disruption until you get another big flip of the switch.

ALL OF THAT to say, enter EFT and other similar modalities designed to restore the flow of energy. It is often just as easy as stepping outside, opening the box, and flipping a switch. And you don't even have to believe in it. Each of those meridian points are wired into different parts of your body, that are all connected into one system designed to flow. And so by tapping on one or more of those points, you figuratively step outside, open the box, and flip the switch. Easy peasy.

There are many, many, many situations of stress, anxiety, fear, physical symptoms, that in one or two tapping "sessions", are completely gone. Flip switched. Flow restored. Happy and healthy. Sometimes, in one round or one minute. About 10-20% of the time, it is a more involved process that needs 3-5 or more sessions. A single experience of trauma with PTSD symptoms can be resolved in one sitting. I've helped more than one person do it. A returning vet with hundreds of intrusive memories and thoughts, will take much more than one sitting. But, even in most of these severely traumatized men and women, in a half dozen session, they begin to resemble a completely normal person. This can happen in a couple of months instead of years and years and years of therapy!

See the PTSD video for evidence.

New Year New You!

Isn't it time to be the person you were meant to be? Do you want to make NY resolutions? Or take charge and change your life for good? Don't put the same old tired resolutions on your list. I want to lose weight. I want to get a better job. I want to quit _________.

Why do people fail over and over again at these goals? I think it's because we are trapped in emotional ruts. And until you deal with the disruptions in your body's system, you will keep falling into the same old patterns.

You have to love yourself and get rid of those disruptions. How do you do that? EFT. Go to my website now. It works. Just do it.
